     Facts at a Glance

  • Laguna Blanca is Santa Barbara’s only independent K-12 college preparatory day school.

  • Enrollment: Laguna currently enrolls approximately 425 students in Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade.

  • Class size: We believe small class sizes are essential to quality education at any level. We strive for enrollments of 20 students per section in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade, with a teacher and instructional assistant in each classroom. The Seventh and Eighth grades have approximate enrollments of 45 students per grade, and the Ninth through Twelfth grades have over 50 students per grade. Grades Seven through Twelve are broken into instructional groups of about 13 students.

  • Faculty:  There are 53 faculty members, 64% of whom hold advanced degrees, including five Ph.D.s and one J.D.
