Parents and their children are encouraged to attend one of our Lower School Open House events as an introduction to the Laguna community. CAMPUS TOURS
The best way to discover Laguna Blanca School is to visit our campus and learn about our programs. We encourage families to take a personal tour of the School with one of our admission officers. After you have toured the School, you may wish to take advantage of other opportunities to become better acquainted with Laguna Blanca, such as our Open House events or class visits.
Campus tours are scheduled throughout the week on both campuses. Please contact the admission office at 805.695.8143 for Lower School and 687.2461 for Middle/Upper School to make an appointment.
CLASS VISITS
Grades 1-4
Children applying to grades 1-4 are required to spend a portion of the morning visiting in the classroom with the students and teachers. Children visit in the grade in which they are currently enrolled (e.g. second grade applicants visit in the first grade). Class visits are scheduled individually in January and February on a first-come, first-served basis after the application has been received and processed. For reservations and information, please call the admission office at 805.695.8143.
Grades 6-12
Candidates applying to grades 6-12 are required to spend a day on campus attending classes with a host student. Class visits allow students to gain a sense of how teachers approach their courses of study, the block schedule and structure of the school day, and the social climate of the school. Students arrive at the admission office at 7:50 a.m. and are paired with a current student whom they “shadow” for the day. We encourage students to remain for the entire school day so they have a full experience. Students are available for pickup at the admission office following the completion of their visit.
Class visits are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, beginning in mid-October. Please contact the admission office at 805.687.2461 to make an appointment.
