Instructional Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION 
Instructional Assistant position available for the 2010-2011 school year at Laguna Blanca School’s Montecito campus (Grades K-4). Main responsibilities include: supporting lead teacher and specialist instructors with daily classroom instruction; maintaining and supporting a pleasant, organized educational environment; assisting with the preparation of teaching materials; supervising lunch and recess; and chaperoning field trips.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified applicants must have previous early childhood and/or elementary classroom experience and a strong desire to take an active role in the classroom. Must be proficient on the computer and possess excellent communication skills. Bachelor’s Degree and/or a California teaching credential is preferred or working toward the above.
