School Hours
Lower School (Grades K-4)
Lower School classes begin at 8:15 a.m. and the school day ends at 3:00 p.m. Please Note: Kindergarten students attend from 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from September 7 through September 16. Full day classes for kindergarten begin on Monday, September 19.
Middle and Upper Schools (Grades 5-12)
School begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. most days. Wednesday is a shorten day for all students, with classes ending at 2:25 p.m. Students may avail themselves of faculty office hours from 2:25 until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. For fifth and sixth grades only, the day ends at 3:00 p.m. on Thursdays.

Summer Mailings
The School and divisions send out information in July regarding the start of school. Please be watching for this packet and contact the Lower School office at 805.695.8143 if you do not receive this information.
Bus Transportation and Carpool Information
Laguna offers
bus service (2010-11) on a subscription basis in the mornings and afternoons between the Lower School and Hope Ranch campuses. Laguna offers morning only bus service on a subscription basis from the Santa Ynez Valley area. You will receive information about signing up for this service in the summer mailing.
Laguna tries to assist families in establishing carpools by offering information on those living in your zip code.
Lunch Program
Laguna has a Fresh Lunch Program available on a subscription basis; Laguna does not have a cafeteria. The lunch program is offered three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) on the Lower School campus and five days per week on the Middle/Upper campus. Menus and sign-up information will be available in the summer mailing. Links are provided to menu samples from this year for

Books
Grades K-6
The School provides all books and classroom supplies. The School provides specific information regarding suggested backpacks, shoes, etc. in the summer mailing.
Grades 7-12
After July 15, 2011, students may find a complete list of required books at
www.efollett.com. Books may be purchased from Follett or any vendor of your choice. Please ensure you have the correct course name, teacher, and ISBN number BEFORE purchasing textbooks. If you anticipate your child’s schedule changing, it may be best to delay purchasing the textbook(s) until the selected coursework is finalized.
Laptops for Learning
Grades 5-8
All Middle School students are required to bring their own laptops or netbooks to school everyday.
