Junior Camila Lemere Debuts in SBIFF 10-10-10

Camila Lemere '18 was named one of five finalists for the prestigious 2017 Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) 10-10-10 Student Screenwriting and Filmmaking Competition. Students are mentored over several months, then during the annual Film Festival, each of 10 teams produce a 10 minute film based on a 10 page screenplay over a period of 10 days and are judged on both filmmaking and screenwriting criteria. The contending 10-10-10 films will be screened, judged, and winners announced at a screening open to the public at the Arlington Theatre on the final day of the Film Festival this spring.

Last year, Laguna's Kylan Tyng '16 won first place for his film Lost and Found. This year, Camila will be paired with a high school student screen writer to produce a film under this year's comedy genre.
