Tuition Assistance

Laguna offers tuition assistance based on your family’s documented financial need, your student’s academic strengths and personal qualities, and the availability of funds. Grants are typically awarded to the strongest candidates, with high school students given priority. Please note that Laguna Blanca does not offer merit-based awards.

Admission decisions and tuition assistance awards are made separately. An admitted student may not receive financial aid due to limited resources. All acceptances and awards at Laguna Blanca School are made without regard to race, religion, color, ethnicity, or national origin.

Tuition assistance is awarded each year, so you’ll need to apply and submit the required documentation by the stated deadlines annually. The Financial Aid Committee also reviews your student’s academic performance, behavior, and extracurricular involvement each year.

Separation, divorce, or remarriage does not relieve either parent or guardian of financial responsibility, regardless of legal arrangements. For this reason, Laguna Blanca School requires financial information from both biological or legal parents, as well as stepparents or live-in partners, if applicable. Please note that all parents or guardians must cooperate before Laguna Blanca can consider providing financial assistance.

Tuition assistance grants provided by Laguna Blanca School do not have to be repaid.

You can be confident that all information you submit is kept strictly confidential and shared only with the Financial Aid Committee. In return, we ask that you keep the financial aid process and any awards you receive private. Sharing this information could affect your eligibility for future aid.

Grant awards are sent with admission notification emails to applicants who have completed both the application and financial aid processes by the priority deadlines.

When you enroll your child, Laguna expects that your student will remain at the same level of support indicated at entry, whether full-pay or with tuition assistance. Families should plan for annual tuition increases. The only exception is a significant change in your financial situation, such as a job loss; however, the school cannot guarantee it can fully meet new financial needs. Please remember that financial aid is awarded based on ability to pay, not willingness to pay.
