A Strong Winter Season for Upper School Athletics

Three of our four teams qualified for the CIF-SS playoffs, marking a standout winter for Owl athletics. Boys’ soccer captured a league championship, with senior Baylor Wilson ’26 earning Frontier League Offensive MVP honors and Coach Rick Rodriguez being named Coach of the Year for the second straight season. Girls' soccer also advanced to the playoffs, where sophomore Arden Blagden ’28 was named Offensive Player of the Year.

On the court, our girls' basketball team won nine games and advanced to the CIF-SS playoffs for the first time in 15 years. The boys basketball program showed tremendous progress as well, quadrupling last year’s win total with an all-underclassmen roster — an exciting sign for what’s ahead.

This winter also marked the inaugural season of Laguna Blanca’s Varsity Wrestling team. The program laid a strong foundation in its first year of competition, and this is just the beginning for Owl Wrestling as it continues to grow.

Congratulations to all of our winter athletes and coaches on a fantastic season!
