Laguna Blanca students delivered an extraordinary performance at the South Coast Math Super Bowl today at the Page Youth Center, earning top honors against elementary schools from across the region in a fast-paced day of individual competition and collaborative problem-solving challenges.

The highlights of the day came from fourth grader Ari, who earned first place in the fourth grade individual competition, and sixth grader Annabelle Zhang, who captured first place in the sixth grade individual competition. Laguna Blanca’s sixth grade team also claimed first place in their division.

The school’s success continued across every grade level, with both the fourth and fifth grade teams earning second-place finishes and Laguna Blanca taking home second place overall among all participating schools.

Special recognition also goes to Laguna's math teachers, along with coaches Grant MacNaughton, who led the fourth grade team, and Erik Faust, who coached the fifth and sixth grade teams, for their guidance, encouragement, and commitment in helping our Owls achieve such impressive results!
