Laguna Blanca Welcomes Two New Trustees

The Laguna Blanca Board of Trustees welcomes two new members, Tiffany Pelletier and Valerie Rice. Get to know them here.

TIFFANY PELLETIER
Tiffany Pelletier grew up in Marin County and moved to the Central Coast to attend Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Soil Science and Environmental Planning.

She held the positions of Sales and Marketing Director and Creative Brand Director for Jackson Family Farms. While there, she was responsible for several wine labels across California, including Carmel Road, Cambria, and Matanzas Creek.

She then worked independently as a luxury brand marketing consultant with various wineries to launch and position brands, as well as the national brand platform for Protector Boats in the USA.

Tiffany also studied homeopathy at Berkeley Institute of Homeopathy, as well as traditional Ayurveda medicine at the Kasyapa Institute. She is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor.

After living in Northern California and Toronto with her family, she recently returned to the Central Coast where she is an active volunteer in the community, supporting organizations that promote youth education and women and children's interests. Tiffany currently lives in Santa Barbara with her husband, Howard, and their three children, Jack '22, Daphne '25, and Meagan (age 7).

VALERIE RICE
Originally from Newport Beach, Valerie has called Santa Barbara home for almost twenty years and the California lifestyle is inspiration for all her endeavors. She is a Master Gardener, passionate cook and entertainer, author of the blog Eat Drink Garden, and has been featured in many national and local magazines.

Her love of gardening and food is evident in her work as the Wellness Chair and Garden Club Director at Montecito Union School, and as a former trustee at the Casa del Herrero, a historical house museum and garden in Montecito. Valerie is an avid fundraiser for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, Lotusland, Bellosguardo Foundation, and more.

Valerie's daughters, Ava ’22 and Lily ’24, have inspired her dedication to Laguna Blanca and to co-chairing Laguna's 2018 Gala/Auction. Valerie earned a BA in Film and Media Studies from UCSB where she competed on the Division 1 diving team.
