Laguna Blanca's Fourth Estate Student Magazine Wins First Prize in San Francisco

Laguna Blanca's Fourth Estate took First Place in the Best of Show of the newsmagazine category at the NSPA competition held in San Francisco last month. "Out of 55 magazines entered into the newsmagazine category, Laguna came out on top!" says Journalism Instructor Trish McHale. The students received the trophy this week to add to their already impressive award collection.

The competition took place at the national convention and was sponsored by the National Scholastic Press Association. The Best of Show award signifies overall excellence among the 4,600 conference attendees and entries.
