Laguna Blanca's Dylan Young to Play Soccer at UIW

Laguna’s Dylan Young ’19 has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at The University of Incarnate Word. UIW is an NCAA Division 1 school located in San Antonio, Texas and competes in the Western Athletic Conference. Young is coming off his senior season at Laguna where he was named First Team All Tri-Valley League and helped guide the squad to the CIF playoffs.

“I chose UIW because of its a great location as well as the amazing hospitality of the people in San Antonio,” says Young. “The campus has a great vibe and the facilities are fantastic. The coaches are positive and I believe that they will develop me further as a player and as a young man. I am excited to be playing in a Division 1 program to compete at the next level. I look forward to my time at UIW and can’t wait to get on the pitch.”

Laguna Blanca coach Gof Boyoko adds, “Dylan Young is a very dedicated student-athlete that I’ve seen grow tremendously over the past three years. His passion, maturity, determination, and commitment for academics and the sport of soccer is what stood out the most to me. Those attributes are not often found in young athletes, and in my opinion, helped him earn a spot on a Division 1 roster.”

Congratulations, Dylan!
