Anna Alldredge Named Interim Head of Lower School

Laguna Blanca School is proud to announce that Anna Alldredge, Laguna's Director of Teaching and Learning, has been named the Interim Head of Lower School for the 2022-2023 school year.

"Anna possesses all the desired characteristics of our next Head of Lower School," says Head of School Ron Cino. "She has also been an essential part of our intentional effort to build connections between our divisions, campuses, and programs. She regularly spends time on the Lower School campus in Montecito, supporting and working with teachers, observing classes, interacting with students, and launching the Lower School student leadership program for Grade 4."

Anna expects to return to her important role as Director of Teaching and Learning for the 2023-24 school year and will retain that title alongside Interim Head of Lower School in the 2022-23 school year. Leading the Lower School will be her priority for the coming year. Her transition is already underway with the support of Andy Surber and the rest of Laguna’s Academic Leadership Team.

“I am thrilled and humbled to serve our Lower School community in this role next year,” says Anna. “Our Lower School is a special place, rooted in close connections, dynamic learning opportunities, warmth, and wonder. I’ve had the distinct joy of watching my own two children grow up at the Lower School and have seen firsthand the incredible impact of a Laguna education.”
