Students deepen their linguistic competence by speaking and writing in multiple tenses and moods while exploring the diversity of the French-speaking world. In addition to further expanding their vocabulary and facility with complex grammatical structures, student work to hone their intonation, phrasing and diction. Students continue to improve their understanding of authentic contemporary texts and spoken language drawn from a variety of authentic sources, such as magazines, newspapers, film shorts, and novels.
