Jaylee has a strong background in education, fueled by her passion for working with children. She earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Educational Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduation, Jaylee worked as a Teacher and Supervisor at a preschool. She is thrilled to be joining the Laguna Blanca community as the new Main Office Coordinator on the Hope Ranch campus and looks forward to becoming an integral part of the team.
In 2017, Simon moved to Santa Barbara to attend Westmont College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Physics. During his time at Westmont, he was actively involved in orchestra, choir, residence life, and the ultimate frisbee team. These experiences, along with the meaningful connections he built with peers and faculty, inspired him to pursue a career in teaching.
After completing the teaching credential program at Westmont, Simon gained valuable teaching experience at Santa Barbara Junior High and Dos Pueblos High School. Following the completion of his Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physics, he married his wife and made the decision to settle in Santa Barbara long-term.
Simon began his teaching career at San Marcos High School, where he taught for two years, coached the JV tennis teams, and piloted a new curriculum. He is now excited to bring his passion for physics and his love for education to Laguna Blanca, where he looks forward to fostering a dynamic learning environment and building lasting relationships with both students and colleagues.
