  • Certified Athletic Trainer

    Summary
    Laguna Blanca School is looking for a full time Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athlete injuries. The ATC works in collaboration with coaches,  administrators, and outside healthcare providers to support the overall health, safety, and performance of student-athletes. This role plays a key part in promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive athletic environment aligned with the school’s mission and values.

    Essential duties and responsibilities
    • Provide athletic training services for all home games, practices, and events for interscholastic sports teams, including emergency care and injury evaluation.
    • Develop and implement injury prevention programs and stretching/conditioning protocols.
    • Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and communications with parents, coaches, and healthcare providers.
    • Coordinate return-to-play protocols and ensure compliance with physician directions and applicable state or league guidelines.
    • Communicate effectively with coaches, students, families, and administrators regarding student-athlete health.
    • Manage and maintain inventory of athletic training supplies and equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with school policies, league rules, and applicable state/federal health and safety regulations.
    • Assist with annual physicals and collection of medical forms and clearances.
    • Support and educate student-athletes on health-related topics such as hydration, nutrition, and injury prevention.
    • Maintain confidentiality of student medical information per HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
    • Attend athletic department meetings and contribute to the overall goals and culture of the athletics program.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required qualifications and abilities
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field
    • Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
    • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of California
    • A background working with lower, middle, and high school students is preferred.
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong listening skills in the areas of active listening, writing and speaking.
    • Optimistic outlook and demonstrated skill in creative problem solving and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
    • Demonstrated flexibility and the willingness to contribute to the School community.
    • Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification required.
    • Will need to travel to both campuses, must have a valid Drivers’ License.

    Compensation
    This position is full-time (salaried), with compensation ranging $69,000 - $85,000 for full-time, depending on experience and certifications.   Benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement.

  • Development Associate

    Job Summary:
    The Development Associate provides vital administrative and operational support to the Development Office. This role plays an important part in executing fundraising campaigns, coordinating
    donor stewardship efforts, supporting events, and maintaining accurate and organized donor records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mission-driven, and enthusiastic about helping Laguna Blanca build lasting relationships with its donor community.

    Specific Responsibilities:
    Development Department Support
    ● Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, events, and donor stewardship initiatives.
    ● Prepare donor acknowledgement letters and ensure timely thank-you communication
    ● Support volunteer engagement and help coordinate communications with fundraising ambassadors or class representatives.
    ● Manage and maintain donor databases, ensuring accurate records and timely acknowledgments.
    ● Maintain accurate records of donations and donor information in the development database (e.g.,
    Raiser’s Edge or similar platform).
    ● Support the Development Office with prospect research and donor engagement activities.
    ● Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and annual publications.
    ● Serve as a liaison to parent volunteer groups.
    ● Work with the communications department to write and edit content for newsletters, email campaigns, website updates, and social media.
    ● Help with day-to-day administrative tasks for the development team.
    ● Support the collaborative advancement model at the school
    ● Performs other duties as required

    Education & Experience:
    ● Bachelor’s degree
    ● 1-3 years of experience in administrative support, development or fundraising roles preferred.
    ● Familiarity with donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge and fundraising tools is a plus.
    ● Experience with Google Drive/email preferred

  • Part Time Bus Driver

    Laguna Blanca School is seeking a qualified school bus driver. Candidates must have Class BP and S commercial driver's license (CDL) with a California School Bus Certificate and be air brake qualified.  We are a close-knit community looking for someone who works well with children and the rest of our community. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and comply with state and federal regulations. 

    This position will primarily run the morning and afternoon shuttle between our two campuses in Hope Ranch and Montecito. There are also field trips that will provide additional hours. This position will typically be 25-30 hours per week with a minimum of 25 hours per week.

  • Substitute Teacher

    Laguna is looking for Substitute Teachers who will be on our Montecito and/or Hope Ranch campus and would be available to cover classes when a member of the faculty is sick or away on a planned absence. Must be comfortable being in person on campus with students and have experience with students in Grades K-12.

    Competitive applicants will possess the following skills and attributes:
    • Experience teaching lower school, middle school, and/or high school students
    • Knowledge of Google Suite tools to access classroom materials
    • Dependability to arrive on time, respond to substitute requests, and connect with the Sub-Coordinator
    • Ability to address a range of students with differing learning styles in order to proctor the day’s activities and expectations set by the faculty member.

    • Use and knowledge of technology in education

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • The most qualified applicants will have classroom/library and/or campus experience and must possess a strong desire to take an active role in the school. Candidates should be technologically proficient and possess excellent communication skills. Bachelor's Degree and experience expected, advanced degree and teaching credential preferred.
    Laguna Blanca implemented and follows all safety protocols as recommended by the CDC and County Public Health. Upon hire, the applicant must complete a LiveScan and TB Test
