Be Our Guest for Beauty and the Beast at Laguna

Laguna Blanca’s Theatre Department will present three lively performances of the Tony-nominated musical Beauty and the Beast on April 21 (7PM), April 22 (2PM), and April 23 (5PM) in Spaulding Theatre.

Step into the enchanted world of this Broadway classic and international sensation based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature. The stage version includes all of the familiar tunes written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice.

This “tale as old as time” tells the story of Belle, a bright and independent young woman taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved in return, and if Belle can see the true heart and soul of the beast within, the curse will end and he and the enchanted inhabitants of his castle will be transformed back into their former selves. But time is running out and he and his household could be doomed for all eternity.

Travel back to your fondest childhood memories and come sing along to this beloved musical. You already know all the words to the songs!

Directed by Performing Arts Instructor Dana Caldwell, Vocal Direction by Alyssa Morhardt, Choreography by Kateri Ransom, Music Direction by Zachary Wallace, Technical Direction by Richard Croy, and Costume Design by Flynn Brady.
