CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS

At Laguna Blanca School, we see the physical environment and peaceful surroundings as the third teacher—a teacher that welcomes students, reflects who we are, invites discovery, facilitates community, and embraces nature. We expect a lot from our students and they should expect no less from our campus.

We will create outdoor classroom spaces, allowing students and faculty to take their classes into the beautiful environment of Santa Barbara. Improved walkways will increase accessibility for all and better serve those with mobility challenges. A new terraced promenade and pathways with better lighting will connect the diverse areas of campus and the landscaping, reflecting our commitment to conservation and sustainability.

Campus Improvement Goals

  • Create outdoor learning spaces to support personalized, adaptable teaching methods and complement our indoor classrooms and labs.
  • Build community connections with a unifying green space that joins the Middle and Upper Schools.
  • Transform Ruston Amphitheatre into a modern and accessible space that promotes more community gatherings and serves as an extension of our performing arts program.
